I was wondering if it's safe to overclock my ram frequency from 1600 to 1866MHz (mobo supports it), and should I enable XMP or just go for it? Thanks.

Specs:
CPU: Intel i5-4690K
MOBO: Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z97
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X 16GB DDR3 1600 (CL 9, Timing 9-9-9-24)

Solution
Try it! XMP if you have it, if not keep timings as are and try 18.66 multiplier.

if unstable, voltage to 1.55, then maybe 1.6. want to try keeping timings the same. I've managed 2000 with 8-8-8-24 timings on Ivy so you should do better than that I would think.
