Dell 5200N Printer

I think I'm using the Vista driver but ticking the 'print grayscale' (or whatever means don't try to print colour) doesn't help. Anything other than pure B & W comes out in a wishy washy hue. I tried a Dell forum but my answer came back in Dutch! I think my 2nd hand printer must have been registered in Holland. Seems like I'll have to live with it or get another printer. Thanks to all.

Second hand printer, that is a clue right there. Did it work OK before? Did you change the toner? Depending on the age it may need a new fuser kit installed, about $100 for a cheap one for one of those. http://www.partsmart-corp.com/kit-and-fuser-assembly/lexmark-ibm-dell-lext63x-dell-m5200-info1332-56p1412-maintenance-kit-220v-purchase <-- not saying that's the one to get, just an example. Never dealt with that brand or company.

It's NEVER printed non-B&W as true B&W. It has become more of a nuisance try to print fancy web pages where it not only can't handle colours but the web sites must segment their output as sometimes I only get sections of the scree pointed, e.g. a paper where text is printed but an embedded diagram won't print. There's a time to hold and a time to fold and I think I'll fold this one with many thanks to all helpers on this and 367 other 'forum' sites,
