Hi to everybody!
I'm lost with AMD and his Catalyst's drivers and configurations. First, my PC:
CPU: AMD A10-5800k
Mobo: GA-F2A88XM-D3H
OS: Windows 10 64bits
RAM: 4GB
I installed the Catalyst drivers downloaded from Gigabyte for my Motherboard. The PC goes smoothly. The version is: 15.201.1151... (more numbers here).
But then i saw a new Catalyst upgrade in AMD's. Not in my Catalyst Control Panel, but in AMD's. And i think: hey, new drivers, maybe i can play better games with less FPS losts and smoothly.
It is the new 15.7, for my OS, so i uninstalled my "old" Catalyst with the AMD's Uninstaller. Installed the new. The icon tray disappeared. I found CCC.exe but do nothing, etc. And it installed a new app who can "control" and tweak games, but no Catalyst with that "old" Control Panel, and that easy tweaking from icon tray.
How's that? In my mind, i improved from 15.2 to 15.7, a stable version as far as i know, so... why is that?
The kind of issues wich i suspect who born from: those drivers aren't friendly with the mobo.
So the question is: i can't upgrade the Catalyst with those new drivers, because 15.7 aren't build for my Mobo, even if they match my OS, and i may look ONLY the drivers that Gigabyte upload to their website for my Mobo?
I'm confused about this. I think i could upgrade every program, like Catalyst, and it improves my PC.
