Hi all,

I want to add some additional eSATA/SATA drives to my DELL T320 without changing what is already there (RAID).

I intend to buy a PCI Express eSATA/SATA card to do this. I use UEFI BIOS.

Anyone recommend a card that is compatible? Have problems with crash on interrupts.

Thx, Darrell

Get a Dell PERC Card that is the best if you want to have no issues. Did the T320 you have come with a RAID card already or is it just using onboard SATA port RAID?

They came with either a H310 H710 or H810. They don't make one that does both internal and external. The H810 is external only though SFF 8088 connectors. The H310 and 710 need MiniSAS to SAS/SATA Break out cables.

That is BEST to get but cost $$$

If you just need an extra card to get like a eSATA port well 1) The server does have 1 eSATA port already but if you need more go with like a Rosewill card. I have used those on many of the Dell servers with out issues. they use the Silicon Image Chipsets. Some may or may not do RAID but if you Need a reliable RAID then get the...
