I? looking for better, quieter fans to replace those on my H110 cooler, however I don't want to spend too much on them. I have an extra Phanteks PH-F140SP fan lying around, but I only have one of them. Another one of them is over 20 bucks, and for that price, I can probably get a Noctua fan, which i've heard to be better performing and quieter. Is it ok for me to have two different fans on the radiator, or do I need to have the same fans.

Thanks for your time.

Solution
PH-F140SP would be fine if you need 140mm

the one you linked is 120mm the PH-F140SP is 140mm so one would be the wrong size

ideally you want the same fans but its not going to break anything using 2 different fans

The Phanteks are on par with the Noctua fans, both very good performance and quality. Biggest difference is the Noctua are batt ugly brown unless you spend extra from the Redux which are black/gray or industrial series which are black. Personally, I'd go with another ph-f140sp.

Edit: yes, the NF-P14 would be appropriate for Noctua. Not sure about powering the fans, but aren't they pump mounted 3 pin on the h110?

yes that would do--first grey noctua fan i have seen bit better looking than the usual colour though not much

but if you dont mind colour or wont see it any way its fine

Would this setup(one phanteks 140sp and 1 noctua nf-p14) be quieter and have better performance than stock fans on the h110

yes i would think so last time i used a corsair h80 the fans were pretty poor though newer models may have improved the fans a bit still think a noctua and a phanteks will be superior

think they are pump mounted 4 pin with 3 pin from pump to fan header on motherboard for sensor
