Hello everyone, ive had Seagate Barracuda SSHD 1tb drive for about 4 months and i have a following problem that has started few days ago. The drive started making clicking noise every 2-3 seconds (more likely when idle), but today the problem got even worse, hdd makes these noises almost all the time and i also have problems accessing some files, (2 second freeze before the files even appear), however its not happening with all the files that are on E: .
I tried turning off APM but it did not help so i am just wondering, is not HDD dying? Also there is not firmware update available for this model. The HDD is just 4 months old and as a high school student it was actually alot of money that i had to pay so im kinda sad. Also the clicking noise is driving me so crazy that i feel like smashing the whole pc box would be only thing relieving this anger lol.
Anyways, thanks for any help u bring me guys.

if there's clicking sounds. that means that the header is hitting something. I'm afraid to tell you but your drive will die soon. seagate is a bad brand for hard drives. so backup everything important that you can and get a new drive.
