I'm looking for a solid mechanical keyboard for about £60-70 that will do well in the games I play, any suggestions? I play fps, open world adventure games.

I really like (and own) the k70 from Corsair. They have a new version that has full RGB spectrum colors, but you can find the older red only backlight version for a lot less. Best Buy has it on clearance for a great price. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-k70-mechanical-keyboard-black/9089085.p?id=1218978327181

I don't need or use macros with my keyboards so it was perfect for me. I also like that the body is aluminum and that the volume control is a knob instead of a button. It also has a braided cable and a usb 3.0 port.

That looks like a really good offer but as I live in the UK, I don't have Bestbuy and other available shops (e.g Amazon.co.uk, scan.co.uk) don't sell them anymore, at least not for a good price.

That looks really good for the money! My only problem is having cherry mx reds that from videos are very noisy. With a noise cancelling headset do you think this will be okay? Otherwise I will buy it.

My girlfriend has browns, and since they have a step in them I find them to be louder. I prefer the reds because as you press it down it has the same force the whole way through. They key itself is audible, but it doesn't have a loud "click" like some of the other colors. I couldn't tell which is the absolute quietest, though it's definitely quieter than the blues or browns. Overall, whatever switch you like comes down to preference. I think they're all noisier than a membrane.

Depending on your headset and how much gain the mic has, it might pick up your keyboard noise. I can say that I've never heard my keyboard over my mic at home. If it's picking up I suppose you could always lower the mic volume a bit.

Hope that helps!
