VGA vs DVI help needed!

I have a radeon r7 360, using a VGA cable with a DVI adapter at the PC end to connect to my Phillips 236v monitor.

I just now noticed(after 4 years) that the monitor has a DVI port.

All the threads i found are ancient and don't give clear responses. Is it worth upgrading to DVI from VGA? I play games, read, use pc for college stuff, watch movies, basically everything.

Thank you for the quick response. Another question, does it matter if i get a 18+1 pin DVI or 24+1?

You even took time to find 1 in my country :D
Thanks a lot, but i found one for 1/2 of the price of this.
I'm actually amazed that u took the time though.
