I have a system with an intel i7 3770, intel dz77-ga mobo, 2x 4GB kingson RAM, a thermal master 420W PSU, two sapphire 5570s and a single samsung 840 evo 500GB SSD. installing windows 10, the SSD has dies twice now, the first time it died rebooting, the second time it died while installing windows 10. both times installing the drive I formatted the whole drive and made a single partition for the whole drive. both times it produced the same error with the message: "A bootable device has not been detected. Please refer to the Product Guide at http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/"
things i have tried so far are:
1)going into the bios to try and detect bootable drives
2)running a windows repair installer(wasnt hopeful for this one but hey)
3)swapping sata ports on the motherboard
4)swapping power cables
my best guesses:
1) PSU killed two SSD
2)formatting SSD and removing all partitions made them undetectable somehow(this would be really stupid for samsung to make a drive that became undetectable on formatting)
list of things its NOT:
1) bad sata or power cable
any help would be appreciated to diagnosing or finding a solution
