Hello all!

I'm looking to upgrade my PC on a pretty tight budget (don't have a set price yet but probably no more than 200 - 400 pounds).

My PC is very old.

Currently my PC is really struggling to keep up with my day to day needs (mostly gaming, browsing, programming, etc.)

While gaming I have to run everything on minimum settings and I have a lot of games (Battlefield, Rust, etc.) that my computer just can't run with decent fps.
I also have trouble watching maximum quality YouTube videos, and if I have too many applications running at the same time (say Visual Studio + Unity + Firefox + other random stuff) my computer can start to slow down and become pretty unusable.

Ideally like to be able to do all the things I listed in the last paragraph.

I don't know much about hardware, so I don't even know what I need to upgrade.
Any advice + part suggestions would be very much appreciated!

I've attached a CPU-Z dump (pastebin'd) to this (hopefully that will be some help in determining where I need to upgrade).

If I can clarify anything anywhere please let me know.

looks like you have a circa 2009 Phenom 4-core CPU. its 7 years old and wasn't great when new. 8 GB of DDR2, and a AMD 67xx GPU, which was entry level in 2011.

its all pretty old, but with 400 pounds, you can get a decent system:

re-use your existing Hard drive and copy of windows. the SSD will be your boot drive, and the 950 gpu wll get you high settings on most games, some at ultra. the i3 6100 is more than 20 times more powerful. the case will let you take advantage of the front-port USB 3 on the motherboard

Thanks for responding and sorry for my very late response.
In the end I decided to go with a GTX 960 on the recommendation of one of my friends. I just wanted to check -
Before I order all this stuff do I have to check anything I need to check? (compatibility or anything at a ll)
