GPU wont work

bought a brand new gpu its in the right slot and everything but when i plug it in and power my pc on the gpu turns on for a sec then off and nothing displays on the monitor although everything else works fine and without the gpu plugged in i can use my pc with no problems at all

Groveling_Wyrm
May need to go into the bios/CMOS and set the GPU settings to access the discrete GPU. It could be conflicting with the onboard GPU. Check your motherboard manual.
