Having trouble installing the sound driver for my new PC. I tried contacting Realtek and trying older versions and I still cant install it. What comes next?

What make/model is your new PC?

Or if it's not factory-built, make/model of motherboard.

And please elaborate on the "trouble" you're having, what does that mean exactly? Won't it install?
Do you get an error? Would like to know, but don't forget to include make/model of PC or motherboard also, whichever is applicable.

I have the MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition and yes the installer says that it installed succesfully and then randomly closes but it doesnt install.

Get the Realtek audio driver from MSI, not from Realtek:
https://www.msi.com/product/motherboard/support/Z97S-SLI-Krait-Edition.html#down-driver&Win7%2064

make sure you are running a supported version of Windows (ie nothing older than Windows 7).

Try disabling antivirus before installing it.
Restart Windows after installing it.
Don't forget to re-enable antivirus.
