I'm really not sure where to start, I first noticed this problem when I downloaded a fan made attack on titan game and it asked me to install If i can remember some form of the unreal engine, and me knowing that the unreal engine is used in many games, I thought it was fine, so I dwnloaded it and ever since my RAM usage has been above 50%. I have 8GB installed and half of that is reserved. I've ran multiple virus scans using malwarebytes and AVG, I even done a system clean and nothing has changed. my CPU usage rarely goes over 30% and I've tried pushing on the RAM sticks to see if it was disconnected, I'm really out of ideas guys, can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks :)

Edit: I forgot to mention that on startup I run about 80+ processes. Also my RAM is the HyperX Fury RAM (2x 4GB)

if its a ''clean'' program and trusted all you should be able to do is uninstall it and things go back to normal ?? may just be bad code and a resource hog ?

that's the risk you took - look over user forums of that program to see what others using it are saying or any resolves / issues found ??

I've uninstalled both the game and unreal engine, done 1 virus scan and nothing was found, then reboot my PC and it's currently sitting at 60%, I checked the description of the game and no one has mentioned this problem. I'm really lost for answers

Okay, I have no idea how to post a picture, but I can tell you that a music program known as avid manager is using 166,168KB on standby, which is the highest. but I still can't believe that can take such a toll on my RAM

don't know ?? something developed a memory leak or that program installed something that it did not or get removed when you uninstalled it ??

thing is was that avid manager thing something you use or installed or just the first time you ever seen it ?? did it install with that program and not got removed ??

see this is or can be part of that risk I said above not only as far as trojans or worms or malware but some crap thing he used to create that ''fan made attack on titan game '' what ever that is ?? and now you got to figure it all out weed it out and run through a process of elimination ..

The Avid manager is the music program I use with school so it is 100% not the problem. I'm really not sure what to do. I've checked the BIOS to try and activate the 4gb that is being reserved and I can't find a way to unreserve it, do you know?

should be all auto by windows I assume never had to do any of that for any reason ??

well if that avdi is a known program you use with out issue before then go to something next and look it up to see what it is or does [ process of elimination ]

tried to look up ''attack on titan game '' to see if any complaints about it using or not releasing resources [like memory ] and don't see any ?, so..

maybe review / look up things like this and see if something suggested helps resolve ?

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2337420/windows-pro-x64-high-memory-usage.html

for what ever OS your using ? maybe something from that game triggered something windows cant get over by itself ??

I'm going to unsolved this so someone else don't see it solved and skip over the thread that may have a better answer ?? just never know ??
