what should i do to fix that problem? the problem started when the usb was connected while the computer was booting and accidentally I plugged off the usb cable from the computer before completing the booting process. My usb drive is detected and only shows the drive letter and cannot be oppened and does not show up in the disk management. When i try to open makes the computer irresponsive till i plug of the cable.

please give me some guidelines to follow over the the problem to be solved.
I am sure you understand on what i am telling you friend.

Hey there, beniginus.

Do you need to recover your data or you just want to try and make the drive recognizable by your computer? Do you get any specific error when you try to access the HDD?
Would you please check what it says about the drive in Device Manager: How to access Device Manager in Windows.
You should try the HDD with a different computer, to see if the same thing happens and with a different USB cable, just in case.
It might be helpful to post some screenshots of what you see about the drive (in Windows Explorer, Device Manager, etc). You can use imgur.com to upload the image.

Please let me know how it goes.
