I've been very happy with my current build but just have an itch to upgrade lately. My current build is as follows:

Intel Core i5 4670k
ASRock Z87 Extreme6 LGA 1150
Samsung EVO SSD Boot Drive
GTX 970 SC
etc etc.

I mostly game on this rig but wanted to build a NAS media server. Would it be worth to upgrade my processor to the Xeon E3 with the same LGA 1150 port? Would I see any improvement as far as smoothness or frames? If so I would use the 4670k to power the NAS I want to build.
