Hey, I played Bf4 on ultra and my Geforce GTX 970 OC hit 78-80c. Also my i5 3570k cores hit 71-77c. I feel like these temps are quite high? What should I do?

Solution

Well your CPU temps aren't going to drop much because you're using the stock fan. The fans on 970 don't direct heat out the back but in the case itself. That means you'll want good air flow from the front to the back of the case. The fan on the bottom doesn't count. It's the fan for the PSU which should be facing down to draw in air and exhaust out the back.

Options:
1. Clean out the dust filter in the front of the case and possible add another 120 mm fan for intake.
2. Install a new aftermarket CPU cooler if those temps are bothering.

If all else fails, a...

After starting my computer my cpu temps were around 30-35c and gpu about the same. Now when using Chrome cpu's around 35-40c (reached 50c at some point) and gpu is 28c. While playing Runescape cpu is around 50-55c and gpu 32c. I've been playing Runescape and world of tanks at the same time and then cpu hits 70-73c and gpu ~70c.

I have Cooler Master Silencio 550 ATX. I haven't bought any extra fans. Only fans I have are the ones in the case (one on the front, one on the bottom and one on the back)

If all else fails, a new better airflow case. But I don't think that's necessary. Again, your temps are a little warm but not terrible.
