Hi all,
I recently had to send back a bad Athlon X4 860K to Newegg. They denied the RMA due to "The CPU was received with apparent end-user caused physical damage to the CPU contact pins". However, I checked the pins after it wouldn't boot to verify that wasn't the cause (bad experience with a shady DLP chip vendor) and I'm 100% certain that the pins were fine when I shipped it back. Any advice on how to proceed with their customer service to work this out? The fear is the pins were damaged by the shipping (I sent back in the same packaging) or the RMA tech and now I'm out the cost of the chip.
Thanks!
