Hi everybody.
Yesterday we had an extreme power surge / spike that fried two PSUs at my house. Power is still out, and I have started reclamations to the electrical company about the damaged components, here in Argentina, my high end pc gaming is pretty expensive, and I'm afraid that I will not be able to get full compensation for the damage I just Suffered.
The question is, can I expect to be the psu the only component damaged? did by any chance could it be the possibility that it had "filtered" that terrible amount of overvoltage to the other components? The system was shutdown at the moment, but connected to the electrical grid... assuming I (used to) have one of the best PSU available... (EVGA Supernova G2 Gold 1000W) could I have the chance that my mobo and CPU, and more importantly my GPU are safe?
I would love to hear from your experiences or Knowledge, even when it's not what would make me happy....
Thanks of course, and sorry if my english is not the best around.
Good Luck to you all.
Dave.
