Hello,

I decided to upgrade my graphics card to a GTX 750TI.

I wanted the dual out put for 2 monitors.

I have put the graphics card into my MOBO and all that seems to happen is the PC will start up go pass the bios screen then:

All I get is the blue windows icon with "Starting Automatic Repair", the PC just re-boots and keeps looping with the same fault .

Any ideas??

I have a Quad Core 1.6 CPU - Foxconn g31mx mobo - windows 10

PC works fine with standard on board graphics

iam new to this but may be i can help.
i purchased gtx 750ti.in windows 7 the card ran with no problem. i purchased another hdd and dual booted on separate hdd.one windows7 and another 10.then after 1 month i got problem of restarting /rebooting loop. bios screen could not been seen. system shuts and again restarts in 5 seconds. earlier i thought that it happened bcoz of wrong method of installing dual os.after that i thought may be windows 10 has this bug.i removed card and tried to boot with internal/integrated display -again same problem.when i freshly installed again both os then problem is gone.later i discovered that whenever this fault occurs and whnever i removed and insert again graphics card-try booting-surprise -the problems gone.

hope above story will help you.

Some older motherboards have issues with the GTX 750 Ti as far as incompatibility goes. Out-of-date BIOS + Maxwell chipset don't seem to mix. Since your motherboard was old enough to be designed for Core 2 Duo and DDR2 that may very well be the case. If you can return it you might want to try a GT 740 since its based on the older Kepler architecture and is better for compatibility with older hardware. This one has dual DVI for instance:

yes ,you may try.sometimes problems are very small but experts make them compley.i know its annoying to re-install but do it as it will take only 20 mins.

one of my friends bought 750ti overclock from inno3d.that card was having 6pin connector slot.shopkeeper told it will not require 6-pin to power.i came to tomshardware forum.here i got a thread in which the a best answer said-no gtx750 ti will require power connector as the power from pcie slot of mobo is enough to power the card. i checked the website of inno 3d and there they said no 6pin connector required. many experts said it will not require.but finally i found it requires.
so moto is you should try every possible chance but make sure that is safe before trying.

reinstall windows. if not->
try to remove and re-insert the card.if not ->
try with heavy power snps to make sure power supplied to graphics card is plenty.
try to change mobo.may be its mobo fault.

anything can happen, just focus on small things nicely-thats the solution.

I have an EVGA 750TI installed on a Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R with a Core 2 Quad Q6600 at home so they will work with at least some old boards.

So it's worth reinstalling Windows to see, most of us older enthusiasts don't generally consider Reinstalling Windows to be that big a pain. We used to do it monthly with Windows 98 was the most popular OS.
