How do I retrieve photos etc after mistakenly formatting SD card if I haven't got a computer?

Hubby mistakenly formatted SD card on windows phone, majority of photos that wasn't backed up are gone. We haven't got a computer only tablets, can we retrieve photos on SD card with that?

Is the OS of the tablets you are referring to, Windows as well?
Unfortunately it won't be easy (if possible at all) to recover your files this way. Most of the options for data recovery would require a computer. However since you don't have one available, you should check for a data recovery application, which you could try, or take the SD card to a professional data recovery company.
