I had to expand my RAM recently and decided to buy sticks with the same brand and specs (Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 9-9-9-24). Being a RAM noob I didn't realize I bought DDR3L when I should've bought normal DDR3. My PC (Sandy Bridge CPU) tried to run 1600MHz @ 1.35V which didn't boot, so I set it at 1333MHz @ 1.5V. I ran Memtest for a few hours and stress tested it w/ my usual apps in Windows and it's working fine so far this week, but I read somewhere online that Corsair 1.35V sticks can fail after a few months running @ 1.5V. Should this stay stable?

P.S FWIW my CPU is running around 10C hotter than usual with the new conf

Solution
Not sure where you read that nonsense online. DDR3L is just binned DDR3, similar to the high performance kits. They will all run safely at standard DDR3 JEDEC speeds and voltages.
