Ok, I am going insane. I purchased the Corsair 750D Full Tower Case. It comes pre-installed with 3 140mm case fans. I removed the two front panel case fans that were installed with long fan screws. Now, I bought two replacement Corsair 140mm Case Fans, and they are exactly the same except these have the Blue LED's. So I removed the old case fans, and took the long fan screws that were installed in them, and I am going f*cking crazy trying to install the news fans with them. I am mounting the case fan onto the hole that says "140mm" and I am threading the long fan screw from the front of the case fan, and it manages to fit all the way through like this

But when I put it up against the fan mount, it doesn't reach all the way through the case. It's just not long enough to screw into the damn mounting hole. I have no idea what to do.

Solution
you have the screw. take that to a hardware store and they will be able to match up the thread and get the right length. may cost about 3 bucks for all of them. you'll need longer screws. if you have a drill you could drill out the outer hole so the head of the screw will pass, but then you'll need shorter screws.
are the old fans thinner, or have a different mount?
