Hello guys,

I'm not massive into computers but i enjoy PC gaming and so i decided to spend some money and build my first PC (back in April 2015). PC Specs:

CPU: AMD FX8350 Black Edition
GPU: ASUS Strix R9380 4gb
Mobo: AsRock 970 pro3 r2.0
Ram: 2x8gb G.Skill Ripjaws X Series
PSU: Corsair CX750M

More information; When i play games such as BF4, Dirt Rally, Arma 3 i can get very high frames but these drops make the games unbearable. Most noticeably i cap my frame rate at 100 on CS:GO but every so often (especially during key gun fights) my frames drop to around 18-25.

Please find attached an image of an example of the frame drops while playing Dirt Rally.

P.S Sorry for sideways image!

Solution
It looks like your GPU's clock speed drops massively. This would usually be caused by thermal protection, in other words your GPU might be overheating when under load. You might simply have too much dust/filth clogged up in the GPU fan, or you might have a faulty fan. Maybe you have overclocked your GPU and it is causing it to overheat.
