Hi,
so i bought a Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4 mainbord and Kingston HyperX Fury 16gb. The ram comes in 4x4gb. At first i put in all modules and got bsods of all sorts. I then used Memtest86 and got plenty of errors. After some testing i found out that when i run 8gb in dual channel everything works fine - no bsod's no Memtest errors. Whenever i put a module in the same channel thats when the problems start. This is true for using 8gb of ram in single channel mode or 12gb or 16gb (which would be dual channel) . Only the 8gb dual channel setup doest produce errors (in either Channel A or B). I tested every single module separately in memtest - no errors.

According to the Asrock website these ram modules are supported. They show up correctly in the UEFI. I use xmp profile. I Also flashed the UEFI to the newest version.

Any ideas what might be causing this? Or maybe the mb is just broken?

Thank you for your time.

I use a EKL Alpenföhn Brocken 2. Cpu temperatures are stable (under 40°C). I didnt do any overclocking. The UEFI is basically unedited other then the XMP Profile (I tried Auto as well).
The RAM came in a single package. Kingston HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit (HX424C15FBK4/16).

Other hardware i use:

Intel Core i5 6600K
GTX 960 Super-SC ACX 2.0+ 4GB
be quiet! BQT E9 Straight Power (450 Watt)
