i installed a new cpu and now my computer wont display anything on the monitor

Hi I just installed an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ 3.2 GHz ADX6400IAA6CZ CPU. After i powered the computer back on, it did but there was nothing on display. So i put the old cpu back on and my computer started normaly. I would like to know what's the problem.
my computer specs are
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4050e
Nvidia Geforce 9200
Acer Aspire x1200
4 GB or Ram

You replaced a 45W CPU with a 125W CPU. You didn't mention your exact x1200 model (I presume it's a B1601A), but if you already determined that the new CPU is supported (MB.SAR01.002 motherboard?), then it most likely is defective.

Now that you mention it my psu is only 220W so maybe that was the problem.

It wouldn't prevent the system from posting, but it could certainly cause issues. If your PSU only is 220W, then I'd presume the VRM isn't very good and probably not designed to support 125W processors.
