i just built a new gaming pc, specs are:
m5a78l-m usb3 mobo
fx 6300 black edition
evga gtx 760 2gb
corsair cs550

after finishing the build i cant get a signal on my hdtv, ive tried everything, ive cleaned the ram and reseated, checked the cpu, cleaned the graphics card, tried different hdmi cables, different tv's, resetting cmos, switching from gpu hd port to mobo hd port, no matter what i try nothing works, please help

Solution
I'd check ASUS site over others available. The ones listed are the "guaranteed" ones for being compatible. Many more modules should work fine though. Usually, it's the high performance RAM w/ tighter timings and/or higher voltage that can be troublesome for POSTing in some boards.

Thanks for your replies, I believe I may have solved the problem, turns out my mobo bios is outdated and isn't compatible with my cpu at this time, so ive had to order a donor cpu to update the bios, hopefully that works because I've honestly tried everything at this point

Well I can not think of any other reason why it wouldn't work, I just hope it fixes the problem, I've tried everything, I watched YouTube videos troubleshooting for over 3 hours last night, what I find confusing is the guy claimed that he had an fx4300 running on the motherboard but never updated the bios, but according to the asus website the 4300 requires the same update as the 6300, so I'm not sure what to think.....

If the CPU swap didn't help, and your 100% the BIOS version is compatible, it could also be the RAM, or even a bad/damaged motherboard. Some boards aren't compatible with certain RAM modules, they flat-out will prevent the board from POSTing. On paper just about any standard RAM of the correct type should work, but it doesn't always turn out this way. I've run into this many times over the years trying to swap out/upgrade RAM though it's usually on OEM machines. What make/model kit do you have? Have you had a look at the QVL compatibility list on ASUS' website?
