I'm wondering if my psu is good enough for my system. I have an i7-5820k overclocked to 4.0ghz and a gtx 970. My psu is the corsair cx750m.

It has enough wattage yes, but its a low quality power supply (basically it has really bad quality capacitors and what not inside) and will probably die earlier than other ones, it also might get noisy when it is dying. You shouldn't need to upgrade until you notice performance issues or it gets stupidly loud.
When you do upgrade, get the EVGA 550w G2 80+ Gold it will last for nearly 10 years. And if it dies before 7 years it has a 7 year warranty!
