Hi,
I'm looking for a cooler to overclock my FX 4300.
I was hoping to maybe get it up to ~4.5GHz
I need a cooler that is less than 120mm in height. (has to fit Corsair Carbide Air 240 case)
Can be air or water as long as it will fit the case.
Needs to be <$100AUD (<$60USD everything costs more here anyway I find)

Thanks all

With your budget and case, trying to find a decent cooler that will allow overclocking is tough. I found one that I think may fit the bill. The Cryorig below is rated to 100 watts TDP which should allow for a modest overclock on your CPU. An AIO watercooler may be a better option if you can catch one on sale some where.

If you can find a Raijintek Pallas locally or order from Newgegg or Amazon, it would probably cool better, but I'm not sure what your price would be.

Thanks,
I realise this is a bit of a tough ask. I'd looked at the Cryorig C7 Compact CPU Cooler but it seemed possibly not good enough. The best in the price range though. I looked for the Raijintek Pallas couldn't find it and the Australian New egg or amazon stores.

What would you say about these coolers. They are all water coolers in my price range (possibly not the last) What your opinions of these cheaper water coolers vs the air coolers?

It seems on bench-marking, no cooler can keep an overclocked cpu <60oC, I'll have to just see how high I can oc with whatever cooler I get
