I'm looking to build the system below for working with Lightroom, Photoshop, and gaming. Currently looking at $1208.83, but interested to see if anyone can recommend me other components to save some cash to bring the total closer to 1k. I want the Fractal case so I'm not looking to save money there even though that would be the easiest way to save money. Thanks in advance for your help.

Made a few changes to lower the price as well as ram height to accommodate Noctua heatsink.

Is that ram a some what high profile heat sinks? If so Have you looked at the Cryorig R1 Universal? The temps, price and noise level are on par with the NH-D15 but also have clearance for the first slot for your ram.

I haven't looked into that particular cooler, but from what I've read the Noctua works well with Corsair Dominator's and these Kingston's I currently have selected are smaller in profile than the dominators. Curious to know if what I read is true or not, given that you mentioned there may be a fit issue on my first dimm slot.

I built a PC for a friend that had the little sister of the NH-D15. The NH-D14. Ordered G. Skills Trident X's and the attached heat sink was to tall for the fan. Luckily there was a fix for this. The top of the heat sink on the RAM was just held by 2 screws to make it low profile and it fit just fine but had very little clearance. I haven't messed with the D15 and thinking it may have the same issue with the D14

I just did a bit of researching and it seems that any ram up to 64mm will fit in single fan mode. So it should fit most ram sizes with single fan setup. However, you run into compatibility issues when running dual fans. With dual fans it will fit ram up to 32mm. Otherwise the second fan would be sitting high up on the heatsink. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm going to reconsider looking at some low profile dimms.
