I own a I5-4460 and I'm wondering if an aftermarket cooler would benefit my cpu in any way, Such as more stability

Solution
Just going to reiterate Blackbirds answer. Better temps, quieter operation. Keeping the temps lower will extend the lifetime of the CPU, which is always a good thing.

Not really, the stock cooler is good enough even when the i5 utilizes turbo boost. the only benefit is reducing noise levels. Maybe if you get a good cooler, longevity would be a benefit but no it won't benefit the 4460 in any way.

If you are located in EU i would suggest the bequiet dark rock 3 or advanced. They are very quiet and perform good enough. Else Noctua is the industry standard. A U12 or 14 would be a really good fit. Before buying anything make sure that it fits your case since most of them are quite tall.

Im pretty sure that CPU will last longer than its useful life even on stock fan.

Old desktops with P3's and P4's with stock heatsinks are still working today, its just they don't have a practical use in todays modern applications

Still. Lower temps is better, and the stock fan is a god awful noise maker. There is literally no reason to not get an aftermarket one, and multiple reasons for getting one.
