hello guys. I recently upgraded my gpu from gtx 560 ti to r9 380 and i was expecting huge performance increase. I still cant run gta v at 1080p with my r9 380. For fire strike i got 6813 points. My gtx 560 ti scored 2999 points. Here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Npx2ugLFDIo you can see this running gta v ultra 1080 with gtx 750 ti. Any ideas what might be the problem?

yea im 100% on board with psu then. cpu may be a little bottleneck, but you shouldnt see less performance from that upgrade. its gotta be lack of wattage. that vs series is bottom of the line and is only rated 408w on the 12v rail where it matters. during load, in a game, there is no question your system is trying to pull more than 408w. its also not good to have your psu on max load constantly like that. you need to give it some headroom or you will have heat, low efficiency, and other problems like the one you are having. i'd recommend getting a good 550w minimum, but 650w would be ideal.

sorry didnt understand how he split up the ram in his post. thought he just typed it twice.

im having very low fps... under 30

1) you may be getting bottle necked by low ram. upgrade to 8gb if you can.

2) you also may be getting bottle necked by that processor if you are not overclocking.

3) 1 & 2 aside, i suspect the actual issue since your upgrade is the low end power supply you are using. you need a minimum of 550w for that graphics card. upgrade!

pick tier1 or tier2 from here so you don't make the mistake of buying a low end psu again.

you went a little overboard with an r9 380 based on what the system you have can handle.

i have 8gb ram 4gbhyperx+4gb kingston. Im overclocking my cpu 4.3ghz. So you think my low fps is caused by low end psu?
