Would I be able to upgrade the processor for this PC?

My Specs:

Lenovo H50
AMD A8-7600 3.1 GHz Processor
8 GB DDR3 RAM
1 TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
180W Default PSU
Integrated Graphics
Windows 8

Currently this Lenovo PC uses an AMD A8-7600 which is an FM2+ socket, would I be able to upgrade this PC to an AMD A10 series which also uses FM2+? Would it be safe upgrading it? I know that A10 series offer much higher quality and efficient processors, would this upgrade work? I'll most likely be upgrading the GPU to something like a GTX 950 and the PSU to a 500W.

Solution
For desktop performance, I really suggest replacing the hard drive with a SSD.
It will make all the difference in the world.

Added ram is always good, and particularly if you are multitasking.
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards can be very sensitive to this.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.
It is safer to get what you need in one kit.
You are stuck.

You buy a APU for the excellent integrated graphics.
But, there are no real good upgrades, particularly for a gamer.
If you install a superior discrete graphics card, you will have thrown away the big advantage of the APU.
Then, you are left with a relatively weak cpu. Most games depend on only a few fast cores.
The possible upgrades are to more cores, but few games will use more than 2-3 cores so 6+ cores are not very helpful.
Bottom line.....
What you get with a APU is what you will live with forever.

The passmark rating of the A8-7600 is 5196 with a single thread rating of 1536.
A A10-7870K has a rating of 5595, and a similar single thread rating of 1508.
The A10 has improved graphics, but if you will add a discrete graphics card that is of no value.

If your games are mostly graphics limited, then a strong discrete graphics card will help, and you could do such an upgrade since it can be carried forward to a new build.

Thanks for all the replies. My problem lies in that I recently got this brand new Lenovo H50 but for some reason even with all its improved specs, my web-browsing freezes up at times especially since I multi-tab alot with 6+ tabs. I was going to improve the processor to an A10 7870K, add 8GB more of ram (totaling 16), a 500w EVGA PSU, and a GTX 950 GPU (I like to play games like WOW at ultra high). Would this greatly improve the speed and processing in general?
