Hello, I'm looking at a few different laptops and I had a few questions. Three that I'm looking at have 3 different generation i7 processors, 4th,5th and 6th generation. Also, they have different gpu's being Nividia 960m and 965m.
Just because the Skylake is the newest processor, is it automatically the best?
Is there a big difference between the 3 generations? If not how long will the older processors be viable in gaming?
Same with the 960m vs the 965m, how long will the 960m be relevant with modern games?
Are they all quad core?

The 3 I'll reference here, that I'm considering, are...

If you're looking for a primary gaming experience, don't go with a laptop at that pricepoint.
The 960m/965 is okay, but not great. It can run all the current modern games at some settings, but it will fall off sooner rather than later.

You're gonna wanna drop like 1300+ and get a 980m+ for a laptop as a main gamer that will last.
