I was wondering whether a i5-6600k (overclocked to 4.6Ghz) would be sufficient for running a gtx 980ti for VR gaming. I still don't know whether to go with the overclocked i5 or opt for an i7?
Any help will be appreciated
An i5 6600K at stock speeds is plenty. The minimum required specs for Oculus Rift call for an i5 4590 or greater and a GTX 970 or R9 290 or higher graphics card.

So I should be especially safe with the overclocking?
