So im swapping out my r9 390x for a 980ti, I'm pretty confused of the whole process and how exactly do I do this ?! Do I uninstall the drivers before I put in the 980ti or should I do it after ?
If you look up DDU it is a program that will completely un install your old drivers so you can install your new ones with no residual drivers on the system.
But just fyi un install the old drivers first or you could get conflicts its better than it used to be but still can be an issue.

So It goes , uninstall drivers > shut off computer > remove r9 390x >pop in 980ti > shut on computer >install new drivers >done?
Yes that should work fine. If by chance it doesnt uninstall the old drivers completely then try ddu. Some times thers just that one piece of software that isnt cooperative. Thats why I use ddu. You can also try this in safemode too if you have some issues but dont want to try ddu.
