Raidmax RX-300XT Power Supply

How good is this psu? I know it is a bad unit, I know it can't handle anything stressful but the thing is, all I want to run on it is an i3-6100 with h110 board and DDR4 memory. Nothing more, one case fan and the stock cooling of the i3. Regardless how bad it is, it should still be able to run in. I want to get it because it is cheaper, thing is, I am not sure how much electricity it will draw. Will it draw more or less power than a Fortron FSP350-60APN, which is 350W or will the fortron be more efficient due to the bronze rating, what are the numbers we are talking about, anyone with better hardware knowledge when it comes to PSUs could share his opinions? Thanks.

Hi - The power/electicity usage is the same whether you have a 250w PSU or a 1000w PSU.
It's driven by how much power the components need, not by how much power is available.
So, if your components need 200w, then that's what any PSU will deliver.

Now, electricity usage can be affected by the PSU's efficiency. The higher the efficiency the less
electricity a PSU will use. Other things being equal, a gold efficiency unit will use less than a bronze
efficiency unit, and a bronze will use less than a non certified model.
However, the savings on your electr bill is quite minimal and generally...
They do have a 400W power supply for about the same price but its not even 80+ rated. I'd just hate to see a poor quality power supply destroy a nice motherboard and decent i3.

I found some info via google search:

recoup the xtra cost of o gold unit. So, you would buy a gold unit if you could afford it, but not because it
would pay for itself in reduced electr bills.

Personally, i would never buy a Raidmax PSU, you are asking for trouble.
