Internet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

Yes so I keep disconnecting an reconnecting from the internet on my pc every couple of minutes or the internet speed slows down to pretty much nothing. I'm not quite sure why this is happening so any help would be appreciated. I am currently using a Micronet Wireless Dongle (not sure the exact name will edit when I do).

AVG did do a removal of files which were unnecessary or there were double of recently which may have caused the issue, but i'm not sure

Oh and its definitely not my router at fault as my PS4, Xbox etc... all connect fine and never lose connection.

First you need to uninstall the avg from your computer and then reinstall the wireless driver on your computer. this will start working fine. if it is still not working then you need to change wireless security protocol. make it on WEP encryption mode. this will definitely work fine.

I would see if you've got a system restore point from before AVG did it's thing. If so, reset the changes and if it works properly; you'll know what the problem was. In the future, it's best not to let automated programs like that delete things unless you know for sure that they are safe to delete.

Alternatively, you might try reinstalling the drivers that came with your dongle. AVG might have wiped some of it's needed files out!

So it's definitely the dongle which is the issue/ the driver files which are installed?

If so i'm just gonna get a new dongle as I have not got a clue what model and all that mine is.
