Hi I recently bought a computer and need to change the power supply. I can't seem to find a good budget power supply any suggestions? I can spend around £50
I have a cpu A10-5000k with integrated graphics card amd radeon 7660d I intend to add another graphics card too so I will need 600 w+.

Solution

An i5 & Gtx970 won't use more than 400W. Therefore it's better to get a high-quality PSU with lower wattage, rather than getting a so-so good 650W. A Seasonic S12II 520W will be good enough, unless you'll get a really power-hungry GPU like a 980 or a R9 390.

What are your specs? A 'normal' rig generally do not need more than 500W PSU's, and only draw about 300W at load.
But to answer your question, a good budget one is the EVGA 500B, also the XFX TS 450/550, and the Seasonic S12II 520W.

You'll have to spend a bit more for a decent quality unit near 600 watts. Good power supplies are not cheap.

You don't need 650W for that; A good 400W well enough, even 350W will do.

According to http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator , recommended PSU for your current system is 280W, and max pull at load about 210W; with a GTX960, 330W load, 380W recommended PSU.

Thank you for your replies I understand however I plan to upgrade other components of the computer such as the processor, adding another gpu and buying a 8gb ram ddr3 so from that I would presume I need more power which is why Im getting a 650w unless that would still be over kill?

Thank you this seems like the perfect psu for my system. For now I plan to add in a gpu of amd radeon r7 for better gaming performance which I presume would take no more than 400w! :)
