Hi Guys!
I've been diging for info on my question, for month now. PLEASE help me out here!!!
I've built an APU system for a friend, to utilize the built in graphics - because the budget.
We encounter random freezes and BSODs, sometimes we can reproduce the error with some games, sometimes we can not.
The errors occour at any frequncy above JEDEC 1600 - but since it's an APU it really needs a higher memory speed to be set - to provide more FPS.
XMP profiles, manual settings with slightly more loose timings, a tiny bit more voltage... NB overclocking, NB overvolting, nothing helped, eventually the system freezes up, sometimes it needs hours, sometimes days.
The specs:
- AMD A10 7870k
- MSI A88XM Gaming - last 2015 BIOS update - this week I want to try out the new 2016 one (not hoping much)
- Kingston HyperX Beast 2400 Mhz, cl11, 2x4gb ( HX324C11T3K2/8)
- Thermaltake smart se 630w
- WD Black 1TB HDD.
Yes, I know (now), the RAM that I choosed to use was not listed, on the compatibility page. But I've compared everything to the listed Hyper X RAMs back than, it seemed to be just fine. Today I realized what I must have looked over. I copy a URL to one supported Beast memmory here.
If you compare it yourself you'll see no big differences. I've only found 1 today.
What I choosed has an I/O clock - fCK - Base Clock @ 800MHz
The supported one's @ 667MHz
I've looked in some other supported RAMs and I've found the same base clocks.
As I recall we only had the 800MHz version available for purchaces here.
My questions are simple, is there anything I can do to get this setup working? Or we should ditch this RAM and get one pair of this Corsair (wich is also NOT on the list but a slightly bigger version does). At least it's base clock seems right because it's scales from 1333MHz. Could this be the key to the problem? Why can't the system utilize the faster clock speed?
Thank's for reading, I realy hope you can help to end this problem once and for all.
Thank's in advance! Sorry for the baaaad english...
