Hey,

I'm looking to find a nice looking 1u case for around 50 bucks. It would have a simple little Intel Atom board in it with dual com ports, a power supply, and an SSD.

The problem I'm running into is it seems difficult to find one that looks nice. Currently I've been getting the systems off of Mitxpc but they've run out of systems and I'm hoping there is a more price efficient option to get the system.

Does anyone know of a good case and/or a good case manufacturer?

Thanks,

Rawhide :)

The main problem in trying to get what you are looking for is price.

The least expensive decent 1U case is probably the Athena Power RM-1U102ITX22 since it works and includes a power supply for $110. It can only fit a 6.7" mITX motherboard, not any of the larger sizes.

The best 1U rack mount cases are probably those made by Supermicro, the problem is that most of them do not have a removable back plate. They are designed for specific Supermicro motherboards.

Good luck!
