Best gaming setup possible around $750-800

I am looking for the absolute best build possible for 750-800 us dollars. I play VERY cpu intensive games like heavily modded minecraft every few months, the old dayz, and kerbal space program. But I also play games that require a pretty good gpu.

That's a great build, actually. Although the 390 is more powerful than the 970 the 970 is more upgradeable so I guess then yeah, go for a 970.

I'm making the assumption that Plaid is playing at 1080p or 1440p The 970 is actually stronger then the 390 at 1080p. It's almost dead even at 1440. The 390 does pull ahead at 4k, but you need a much stronger card than either of these for 4k.

No worries! I asked just in case you were getting one with adaptive sync, because there's a large price difference between freesync and gsync monitors.
