After installing an ASUS H170-PLUS D3 motherboard to my desktop PC, the Windows 7 Home Premium OS would not boot and could not get pass the 'Starting Windows' screen. The error code on the blue screen that shows up is this:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xFFFFF880009A97E8, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

I have tried starting up in Safe Mode and it shows the boot up process getting stuck on 'CLASSPNP.SYS'. I have tried using Windows startup repair and it says it could not find a solution, cmd -> chkdsk /f /r also says that no files are corrupted. I have also tried booting up the same computer with a different hard drive that uses WIndows 7, still same results.

What solutions would you suggest?
Thanks in advance.

After changing the motherboard you must perform a complete Windows re-install as the existing installation is now invalid (wrong hardware drivers and wrong information in the Windows registry).

This is why your existing Windows won't start.

Startup repair cannot fix those issues.
