So out of no where today my PC started to slow down jurassically, after further investigation i noticed on my BIOS that my CPU was running at 99 degrees C idle, so I removed my heat sync bc it was dusty and I thought that if I cleaned it would run cooler, but now my PC won't even turn on, no lights, no fans, no sounds. My heat sync is stock and there wasn't much paste on it from what I can see

Thank you for any answers

Solution
Reseat the CPU and give it more time to cool down, say 30 minutes, then try again. While you're waiting for it to cool, reapply thermal paste and ensure that the heatsink is securely mounted.
