Just did a new build with a Corsair 380t and an H75 for CPU cooling. I have the radiator mounted to the side with just one fan and another next to it (see image here), the temps have been absolutely fine with a single fan on the rad, but I just bought new rad/case fans and am wondering if it's a big deal when installing the fans to have the second side fan connected to the CPU fan header via the included Y cable with the H75.
Once I replace the fans, the setup will be two 120mm in the front as intake, two 120mm on the side as intake (one connected to the H75 rad) and one in the rear as exhaust. Does it really matter how I have that second non-radiator side fan connected? Something tells me it's completely moot but I figured I'd ask.
