Gaming PC Build for under 1800 euro

I am building my first gaming pc soon and would like advice on what parts to pick. I came across the Intel i7-6700K and the GTX 980 TI was recommended to me by a friend. This build does not include a monitor,mouse or keyboard.
If I do get the intel i7 6700K will it run ddr3 ram? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

6700k, you will want DDR4 ram.

Thanks, would you recommend getting the DDR4 RAM or get the intel core i7 4780K with DDR3?

At this point, I would recommend getting the latest gen hardware, 6700k/ddr4, unless you can get a 4790k for a good deal less. DDR3's days are numbered. AMD will be making the switch, with its AM4 platform, later this year.

If I got: Case: Graphite Series 230T Windowed Compact Mid-Tower Case €80
Would this be compatible with the parts you recommended?

No an 850W is not necessary. A 650W would even be fine, but more headroom never hurts. I would go 750W if you could.

The 850w gives room for overclocking/upgrades.

Sure does! More room then needed unless he was going SLI 980Tis but an additional 100W is nothing to disagree over.
