Hello, sorry if this is the wrong section for this post but i did not find another one related to audio headsets xD, i gladly own a pair of sony mdr zx100 which i use to listen to music on small devices like my phone or ipod, etc.. And i love them! The sound quality is great, but a few days ago the left speaker started failing and it doesnt work anymore, only the right one sounds, ive opened the left side to examine it and i doesnt seem to have any cut wires or anything, so my question is how do i tell if that speaker is failing or if its the jack plug thats chipped/broken??

Solution
It's possible the wiring around the magnet/drivers on your left ear cup is damaged. Fixing the wire on a headphone can be a tedious and messy process especially if yo have to go in and probably tear through the entire length of wire from the connector to the earcups. You could give this a try.

Repairing the wires may also end up being an aesthetic nightmare...so to speak.
