CL or Speed ?

Solution
Should be able to run any of the sets, the 3000 will provide the best overall performance, the 6600K can carry even higher data rates, (I run 3200 on my 6600K), generally 2800-3200 is the best price to performance going and look for a good CL in those 14-15. Also keep in mind each CPU is individual, some may require a CPU OC to run the higher data rates

So you are saying that for extra 10€ there is no point to go for 3000MHz CL15 than 2133MHz CL13 ??

Higher data rates are preferable, but are not necessarily worth the extra investment.

First of all it is unlikely your motherboard will run RAM at 3000MHz and it is likely the native speed will be closer to 2133MHz. Therefore, you will need to overclock (OC) the RAM to get it to run at 3000MHz and that is assuming your motherboard supports OC.

At this point you need to decide if you want to OC the RAM, if the answer is no, then just get what is cheapest. However, if you are considering OC then you need to be aware that it can cause your PC to become unstable and you could fry your RAM in the process. If you are still considering OC your RAM then you should be aware that in the vast majority of tasks/games you are unlikely to see little or no performance boost.

When I asked a similar question as you I was told that the risks where not worth the gain and that I should just run the RAM at the speed my motherboard runs it.
