i had a r7 250 at one point i was really happy with it for anything under 100$ that is probably the best you can get until you want to get a 7770 which is barely noticeable when it comes to being better if you have an fx 6300 you can run almost anything at medium settings at 40+fps with a 250 you could however spend a bit more money for a gtx 750ti it is sugnificantly better than a 250 and you can now with the new 950 get one for 115$

the R7 250 is more of like a low end card that can be used for low settings gaming. It is not the best option for gaming. For that processor I would choose like maybe GTX 960 or R9 280. That card is NOT for high end gamin. It will play 30-50 fs on low settings on modern games

Thanks for the reply.
I'd figure it's a cheap upgrade from my current 6670 ya know but I hear ya.
The R9 280 is pretty expensive though.
Anything recommended that's $100 or below?

If you still havent decided, might i recommend an XFX R7 370 2GB? I upgraded from an 8800GTX to the R7 370, and saw a leap in performance. i get about 60FPS flat in BF4 running full 1080P, 60FPS and never lower in Warframe, which i got maxed out. 30-60 FPS in GTA5, only dips when i drive faster than the map can load, and well... basically i locked my FPS to 60 on most games, and never seen it drop below that besides more demanding games. I know my CPU is bottlenecking it a bit, but if you've got a powerful enough CPU, you might see above 60FPS in games and, possibly max some of them out, like i did in warframe.

If you're looking to play games just drop the extra 30$ or so on an R7 360 or if you really want to be smart about it the R7 370 I understand if the 370 is out of your price range but if you're on a budget the R7 360 is a much better choice.
