No picture just sound from my LG tv

For the most part, and depending on how old youy LG tv is you can expect the picture output to fail on most after about five years of usage.
When you get sound, but the picture fails to be shown on the Lcd screen of the unit, the most common cause due to the tv`s age is related to the main power board used in the Lcd tv failing.
The main power board drives the white back light array or led array of the tv so the image displayed on the lcd screen can be seen when looking at it, and also the video decoding processes.
Because it cannot drive what we call the inverter array used to power the white light array.
By looking at the model number of your tv, located on the sticker on the back of the unit you can track down a new main power board for your tv by means of E-bay.
Prices can range from £20 upwards for a new main power board.
Once you have one you simply replace the old one inside the tv for the new one making sure you reconnect all of the connections in the right places required.
And you should have a picture back on your LCD tv in most cases.
