I just got my new computer today and after going into the BIOS for the first time to see what it looks like, note that I did not change any settings and I even defaulted to optimized settings and then clicked save and exit. When it exited my computer will only boot to my BIOS after a black screen and a flashing dash at the top left of my screen.

ASUS X99-A
Intel i7 5820k
Corsair Vengeance DDR4
Samsung M.2 950 Pro 512GB
Windows 7 Pro x64

NEED HELP ASAP

So you actually did change settings by using the optimized defaults setting.. You need to reset the cmos (read your manual it will tell you how to do this) and it will probably get you back up and running. Also what gpu and psu do you have?
